Valerie Horn, DO
Pediatrics
Valerie Horn, DO, FAAP is a board certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, who joined Advocare Cornerstone Pediatrics in 2024. She received her medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, after earning her B.S. in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh, and a Masters in Biomedical Sciences at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri.
She completed her residency in 2019 at Crozer Chester Medical Center and soon after, moved to the Pacific Northwest where her husband was stationed as a flight surgeon for the U.S. Navy in Washington state. Dr. Horn had the unique opportunity of working at the Naval Health Clinic in Oak Harbor, where she cared for the children of active duty service members. She then went on to continue practicing primary care and hospital medicine in the bright coastal town of Anacortes for several years, before relocating back to her roots in the spirited city of Philadelphia.
Dr. Horn considers it a privilege to care for the pediatric population and strives to empower families with knowledge and resources to help children thrive and stay healthy through each stage of childhood. Her approach in caring for her patients is strongly rooted in the philosophy of treating the whole child and considering their physical, emotional and mental health in every aspect of care. Her professional interests include newborn care, breastfeeding, behavioral and adolescent health, and preventative medicine.
Outside of the office, Dr. Horn loves spending time with her family, especially traveling and going on adventures with her husband and their children. She enjoys exploring the outdoors, visiting new places, and connecting with others within her community.
